Automated Control System for Burden Components Dosing at Sintering Plants
The system's functions are:
Automated control system for burden components dosing at the sintering plant of Integrated Metallurgical Works "Zaporozhstal" ensures on-line control and automatic correction of burden components dosing based on the results of the chemical analysis for the burden's basicity, as well as data acquisition about:
- current and accumulated values of the burden components consumption rate;
- material levels in the bins;
- feeders operation;
- control modes.
Hardware:
The system consists of two hardware and software levels.
Lower level: programmable logic controller (PLC) "Quantum" produced by "Schneider Electric", upper level: "Advantech" workstation.
The PLC controls the burden components dosing.
The workstation creates information databases, processes the results of the chemical analysis for the burden basicity, provides the user's interface, generates and automatically corrects control signals for the components consumption rate and carries out diagnostics of hardware and software operation.
Key hardware: ACS cabinet, system control console - the doser's workplace, remote data acquisition modules.
The cabinet contains the PLC, the workstation, the module for preliminary processing of the weighting equipment signals, command converters and discrete galvanic isolation modules.
The control console contains two TFT monitors; the doser's keyboard, equipped with the manual manipulator; light alarm devices; manual controls (switches, buttons).
