Automated System of Control over the Gas Phase Pulsation in the Blast Furnace
The gas phase pressure pulsation in the blast-furnace, by means of more uniform distribution of the gas over the levels of the blast-furnace and, as a result, intensification of the heat and mass exchange, allows to reduce coke consumption by up to 2% and to increase the blast-furnace output by 2 - 5%.
RPC "Donix" has developed an automated system of control over the gas phase pressure pulsation in the blast-furnace, which allows to select and realize optimal pulsation schedules specified individually for each blast-furnace.
The system's purpose is to realize the blast-furnace smelting technology using top pressure pulsation and natural gas flow rate.
The system's functions are:
- to organize the gas pressure pulsation under the furnace top with the given amplitude and frequency;
- to organize the natural gas flow pulsation with the given amplitude and frequency;
- to visualize the furnace top gas exit in the form of a graph;
- to visualize the natural gas flow rate in the form of a graph and to carry out the accumulative calculation of its total consumption;
- to visualize the throttles position, the actuator tasks and their fulfillment;
- to record the events and accumulate the statistics;
- to record the prehistory of emergency conditions development and to retain it for further processing and analysing;
