«T-D» Technology — Improvement of the Metal Plastic Properties along with the Reduction of Mechanical Anisotropy.
«T-D» technology developed by RPC «DONIX» allows to produce wire rod of low-carbon and low-alloyed steels with the properties, providing for the drawing up to the degree of reduction of 97% without any additional thermal treatment.
The obtained metal is characterized by:
- high strength and plasticity simultaneously;
- no anisotropy of the properties regarding the axis of deformation;
- increased density and electroconductivity.
Mechanical properties of the produced wire meet the requirements of all the corresponding standards. That became possible thanks to the following structure features:
- fine grain size (10-12);
- low defect concentration in the grain body (10–6 — 10–9 см-2);
- specific high-angle grain boundaries;
- no anisotropy of the properties along the wire rod cross and longitudinal section, provided by the equiaxed grains obtained after rolling.
The above listed characteristics result in the increased ductility margin due to differences between the internal structure of the metal, produced according to the «T-D» technology and the one of the metal, produced according to the conventional technology, thus ensuring technological efficiency of the small-diameter wires production.
Experimental-industrial testing of the «T-D» technology was successfully fulfilled at the mills 250/150 and 250-3 of OJSC «Krivorozhstal».
RPC «Donix» offers:
- to organize the production and delivery of the wire rod produced according to the «T-D» technology for further processing in cooperation with OJSC «Krivorozhstal» on the Customer’s request; the applied steel grades: ст.0М, ст.1, ст.3, Св.08Г2С;
- to develop the drawing schedules for the wire rod produced according to the «T-D» technology for specific manufacturing environment;
- to adapt the «T-D» technology for application with a certain type of materials, required by the Customer, depending on its production and products range.
